Flue Pipe
Flue pipe or chimney pipe as it can often be called is a single wall prefabricated stove pipe, manufactured and coated to the highest standards, made from 1.2mm thick low carbon steel. All stovepipe components are coated both internally and externally with a ground coat and top coat of high temperature acid resistant coating. Due to the chemical specification of the steel used for stovepipe, they provide an excellent surface for the glass coating to adhere to offering a superior finish to other manufacturers. Flue pipes are designed as a connecting pipe with high temperature and acid resistant coating, enamel stovepipe is suitable for use on wood burning stoves, gas, oil and multi fuel appliances up to 50kW output, with a maximum operating flue gas temperature of up to 450°C. Wood burner flue pipe should only be used to connect from the appliance into an existing lined chimney, or alternatively, a class 1 twin wall insulated stainless steel chimney. Under NO circumstances is flue pipe to be used through a combustible floor, externally or to line an existing chimney stack.
So why fit the best stovepipe?
Vitreous enamel stove flue pipe is also an integral component of wood burning stove and fireplace installations. Exhaust gases and other by-products of stove combustion are expelled into the outside atmosphere through a correctly installed stove flue pipe. This allows the appliance to burn correctly and stops pollution of indoor air. Stovepipe allows proper ventilation to the fire as you heat your household.
