Get protection for your fireplace from spit-ups and unpleasant smells with our range of chimney register plates. We are installing it straight above the stove, sealing off the unit's base to counteract heat loss and stop insulation or other debris from falling down into the fireplace. This galvanized steel square does not restrict airflow but can be used in combination with a thermometer for more efficient heating and to keep draftiness out due to its sturdy outer frame.
Protect your chimney with these high-quality register plates, also known as closure plates from NCC Ltd. The three bolts that allow the user to attach it at any angle provide excellent versatility and are easy to install. In addition, the best register plates are constructed from weather-resistant steel, will last for years without rusting or corroding.
When installing, slide the register plate over your existing flue, and tighten it with the ring spanner. Next, find ventilation holes on both inside corners of the register plate. With one hand at each hole, push them outwards to accommodate standard flexible flues (150mm). The air is less likely to leak out from these vents rather than a round hole in the roof or wall. If you can't find gaps in between that are of a size suitable for your flexible liner, use screws to fix it securely into place onto your chimney bricks - should there be any overlaps left over, trim off unless they're shielded by other sections so that they don't get filled up with straw or vermiculite insulation later on.
