Chimney Cowls

Chimney Cowls

Chimney Cowls are manufactured to be fitted to the top of a chimney pot or flue, mainly the unit is added to improve the air flow or flue function. They have several purposes, from bird guards, revolving and standard units, their use is to stop birds, rain, increase updraught or decrease downdraughts. While cowls can solve these issues, when fitted they enhance the performance of the chimney as the gases and smoke that is naturally created are drawn up more efficently by the cowl itself. So if you have an issue, be it with smoke not flowing correctly or you suddenly find an animal in the living room! Then take a look at our range of cowls and bird guards for wood burners and gas fires.

How Do You Fit A Chimney Cowl

Chimney cowls, come in lots of different styles as there is a wide range of issues with chimneys and stoves that they can help to solve. Fitting a chimney cowl is straight forward and can be done by simply strapping, bolt fixing or installing a sleeve over the chimney itself. The fixing is clean and does not cause damage to the flue or the chimney, so you can remove or replace them without leaving marks or holes. Strapping is by far the most secure option to fix a chimney cowl, and almost all our chimney cowls are available with this fixing method. NCC Stock an extensive range of quality items from top brands like MAD Cowls, C-Caps and more
