Description
Moisture Meter is used to test the water content within wood/logs you're about to burn, ideally the moisture content of the logs should be less than 20% in order to burn efficiently and to prevent heavy smoke and blackening of the glass. This product has two prongs which detects the moisture content of the wood, 9v battery supplied with product.
As the seasoning process of wood can take such a long time, the EPA recommends that firewood with a moisture content of between 15% and 20% is most efficient for burning. Ensuring that wood is dry enough to burn is essential for having a fire in your home that burns efficiently and effectively.
