Description

CT1 Sealant & Adhesive is a versatile option for sealing and bonding around the home or on site, including baths and shower trays, windows and doors, roofing details and guttering. It can be applied in wet conditions, making it a practical choice for repairs in moist environments. Choose from Clear, Black, Brown, Grey, White, Silver, Oak or Beige using the drop-down menu. If you need a broader choice of internal sealant colours, consider Mapesil AC.

As an adhesive, CT1 is designed to bond to a wide range of common building materials, including metal, glass, mirrors, fibreglass, many plastics, stone and concrete. Tradespeople often choose it as a dependable construction adhesive for day-to-day fixing tasks. Once cured, it forms a strong bond intended to cope with demanding applications and ongoing stress.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Superior Strength and Flexibility: CT1 is up to 360% stronger than traditional hybrid polymers and offers 250% more elongation, meaning it does not shrink or crack after curing.
  • Versatile Application: It bonds to virtually any material, including Wet and Dry Conditions. A key feature is its ability to be applied in wet conditions, on damp surfaces, and even underwater, making it ideal for emergency repairs and marine use. Metals (including lead)
  • Glass and mirrors
  • Wood and MDF
  • Concrete, tiles, and most stones (without staining)
  • Fibreglass and most plastics (excluding PP, PE, and PTFE)
  • Health and Environmental Safety: It is solvent-free, odourless, and contains no isocyanates. It is approved by the Norwegian Asthma and Allergy Association (NAAF) and certified for food preparation areas (ISEGA), ensuring safe use indoors.
  • Durable and Resilient: CT1 is UV-resistant, chemical-resistant, and inhibits fungal/bacterial growth, helping eliminate mould in areas like bathrooms and showers.
  • Paintable: Once fully cured, it can be painted over with most water-based paints.
