Flue pipe, also known as chimney pipe, stove pipes or vitreous enamel pipe is a pre fabricated single wall stove pipe. Made with great attention to detail to meet industry standards. The pipe is made from 1.2mm thick low carbon steel, a material chosen for its strength and durability at high temperatures. You can fit various flue pipe lengths into the chimney system.
Each vitreous enamel pipe component is coated on the inside and outside with a ground coat, then a high temperature acid resistant top coat and flexible flue liner. The double coating process not only protects the pipe from use but also the finish. The chemical make up of the steel used for the stove pipe creates a perfect surface for the glass to stick to, resulting in a finish that out performs other manufacturers. Flue pipes are designed to be a connecting pipe between the stove and chimney.
They are coated with high temperature and acid resistant coating to withstand the heat and byproducts of the stove. Vitreous enamel stove flue pipes can be used with wood, gas, oil and multi fuel appliances up to 50kW output. Can handle up to 450°C flue gas temperature. Twin wall flue systems are safe, reliable and easy fit heating solution for indoor and outdoor installations, for wood burning stoves, gas coal effect fires, oil appliances and boilers.
However vitreous enamel pipe should only be used to connect the appliance to an existing lined chimney or a class 1 twin-wall insulated stainless steel chimney and twin-wall flue. Never use a flue pipe through a combustible floor, externally or to line an existing chimney stack as this could be dangerous. So what makes top quality wood stove flue pipes worth the investment?
The vitreous enamel stove pipe is a essential part of any wood burner, multi fuel stove or wood burning fireplace installation. It is the pathway for the exhaust gases, smoke and byproducts of stove combustion to escape into the outside air. A good stove flue pipe allows your appliance to burn efficiently and reduce indoor air pollution.
Also a stove pipe allows proper ventilation for the fire as it heats your home. At Nationwide Chimney Components we stock only the best quality vitreous enamel flue pipes. When you buy from us you can be sure you are investing in a durable long lasting stove pipe that will keep your wood burning stove safe and healthy.
