A stove pipe is a prefabricated single wall pipe. Properly installed stove pipes are crucial for safety and performance and meeting industry standards. The pipe is made from 1.2mm thick low-carbon steel, a material chosen for its strength and durability at high temperatures. Various flue pipe lengths can be fitted into the chimney system.

Each stove pipe component is coated inside and outside with a ground coat, then a high temperature acid resistant top coat and flexible flue liner. The double coating process not only protects the stove pipe from use but also the finish. The chemical make up of the steel used for the stove pipe creates a perfect surface for the glass to stick to, resulting in a finish that out performs other manufacturers. Wood stove flue pipes are designed to connect the stove and chimney.

They are coated with high temperature and acid resistant coating to withstand the heat and byproducts of the stove. Flue pipes can be used with wood, gas, oil and multi fuel appliances up to 50kW output. It can handle up to 450°C flue gas temperature.

However, the stove pipe should only connect the appliance to an existing lined chimney or a class 1 twin-wall insulated stainless steel chimney and twin-wall flue. Never use a flue pipe through a combustible floor, externally, or to line an existing chimney stack, as this could be dangerous.

Choosing the Right Stove Flue Pipe

Selecting the right flue pipe for your stove installation is crucial to ensure safe and efficient operation. When choosing flue pipes, consider the type of stove you have, as different stoves may require specific types of flue pipes. The size of the flue diameter and the overall height of the installation are also important factors to consider.

Additionally, the material and construction of the flue pipes play a significant role in their performance and durability. Look for flue pipes made from high-quality materials such as steel or vitreous enamel, and ensure they come with the necessary accessories, such as bends or elbows, to fit your installation.

Compatibility with your stove and chimney, as well as adherence to safety regulations, are also critical considerations. By carefully selecting the right flue pipe, you can ensure a safe and efficient stove installation.
